The danish branch of Domino's Pizza has always placed much more emphasis on the "experience" than the informational value of their online offering. The last version had the complete shop-metaphor-in-flash going, which was cute for about five seconds. Then the faithful translation of waiting in the real shop kicked in and you just wanted to get out.
But at least there was something, which is by definition infinitely better than nothing. That's exactly what they have now. Nothing. Not even a '96-esque Under Construction sign. Nothing. The domain isn't even pointed at a responding web-server.
The following call to place an order underlined the all-important experience.
Me: "Are you aware that your website is down?"
Order taker: "Yes, we're currently rebuilding it"
Me: "So you're not expecting it to be back shortly?"
Order taker: "Nope."
Me: "Uhm, well, okay... Anyway, I'd like to order some food, but I don't have your menu in papir form. Could you tell me about it?"
Order taker: "First, I need your address"
I give him the address...
Me: "So tell about what you have..."
Order taker: "You need to be more specific. It would make it much easier for me" (my emphasis)
And so it went until my order was placed.

I'm pretty sure you can use www.just-eat.dk to order from Domino's (you can in Roskilde), although I can't really grok why you'd order one of their sorry excuses for a pizza...

2 things I don't get: Your place of living, and you opt to order Dominos? Isn't that almost reason enough to be driven out of town by a raging mob of local pizza pushers?
And the other thing is companies with a functional website, taking that website down, while they "rebuild it". Haven't they heard that it is possible to run two websites - even on the same server - nowadays, so you can actually build a new website _without_ tearing the old one down?

Jakob: I no longer live in Nørrebro, but on Amager. So my options are not quite the same as before.
And to both of you: No, the quality of the pizza was neither worth the experience or the exorbitant amount paid.
