Rails is the best frameworks I’ve ever used. Things are always simple and intuitive, and I rarely need to resort to the documentation to understand how something is done. I had an epiphany when I saw how easily I could add authentication to an application that was already working.

Imagine having used MS Paint for the better part of your career and then discovering Photoshop! Thats how it's like working with rails.

Really started to get into Ruby/Rails less than a week ago and already things are going amazingly, with it being used on a tight deadline client project already! This is more amazing because I'm one of the biggest Perl zealots going.. but this may not be the case anymore..

I can't believe I'm the first person to post the US here. I'm certainly not the first person to _use_ Rails in the US (I think David and 37signals probably beat everyone to that.)

I've been working on a few things with Rails---most notably, a sizable online retailer here in the US will be relaunching their website based on Rails in late 2005. (Sorry, I can't say who yet.) It's not someone most of you will have heard of (it's fairly industry specific), but it should certainly make a nice case-study for the framework.
